My ZIA Garden

Here is my ZIA garden, free from weeds, screaming children, dirty laundry, and yucky toilets...
Oh how I wish I sit in the shade of a towering, lovely flower...

The Diva's Challenge # 30

Weekly Challenge #30: "String Theory v.V :Initialize"

The directions were to "draw your first and last initials, overlapping, and use this as the string for your tangles."  I had a lot of fun with this.  I think there may be a few more where this one came from.  Lots of possibilities!!!

Tripoli

Here is my Diva Challenge for this week.  The challenge was to work a pattern called Tripoli.  I started messing around with the triangle pattern with no particular direction in mind as usual, and this is what eventually came out.  I have my thoughts about it and my family has their thoughts, what is your thought?

A Lady...

Here is a picture that started with eyes and evolved into this mysterious looking lady.  I probably wouldn't have done much with it if my mom hadn't gone crazy over it when I started it...  She kept asking me if I had finished it and when I was going to be done.  So finally I was inspired to finish it and this is what came out.  It's been a long time since I drew a person, and I think this was the first time I drew someone out of my head instead of drawing from a photograph....

Some doodles and a gift

I've been busy doodling the last few months and this is what I came up with...

My husband retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service in Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) also know as the bomb squad in the civilian world.  I drew this picture and gave it to him as my retirement present.  Each picture represents every base he worked at during his career.  I also drew a picture of a bomb suit, his career badge, and his Senior Master Sargent stripes.

I'm Baaaaack....

Well it's been a while since I was on here last, but I'm back now.

This weeks Diva challenge was the spiral.  I ran with it and created my Zentangle Inspired Art and I went crazy with spirals!  I had a great time working on it...

Weekly Challenge #18 - EGGZZZZellent

Here is my egg...  Speaking of eggs, the boys and I dyed our Easter Eggs tonight.  We will be going to church with stained finger-tips!  Oh well...  Cooper, my 4 year old, asked me tonight, "How does the Easter Bunny come into our house?  Maybe it's magic just like Santa?"  It made my heart smile to see his eyes light up with anticipation.  And Laim, my 6 year old, went to bed after we talked about how Jesus will rise in the morning.  I told him that His disciples will be sad as they walk to Emmaus with a "stranger" and will rejoice when the bread is broken at dinner.

Mooka Mooka!

Here is my Mooka challenge for "I am the diva"'s Weekly Challenge #16.  The challenge was to do something with the new Mooka pattern and this is what I came up with so far.  I think there may be another one on it's way.  After I finished it I realized it looked sort of like a heart.  It's my Tangled Heart...

Here's my Diva Week 15 challenge

Love Your Curves...

A few more of my drawings...

Here are pictures I took of a few of my drawings.  The round drawing is supposed to be sideways but I couldn't turn it around after I inserted it.  I'm still trying to figure this thing out.  I can't wait to get started on this week's Diva challenge!  I love drawing with curved lines...

Rate My Stuff...

I want to know what people think about my art. I want to know what strangers think. I want someone to comment on my work and not worry about hurting my feelings because they know who I am. Where can I get this kind of feedback? I searched on-line but couldn't find anything.

Here are a few of my drawings that I scaned tonight.

Zentangle Club

I finally made it to the Zentangle Club today! It was a lot of fun and I'm hoping I'll be able to continue going. We learned two patterns and worked on a Mandala. The outside shape is Joni's template and I tangled the inside...I had a "ball" doing this!
